In 2017, RG&C started working on the small green space at Lee Hill Road, Washington Street, and South Street with the aim of removing the weeds and wild grass and replacing them with a simple ground cover of vinca minor (periwinkle). Vinca is semi-evergreen and, once established, is drought and shade tolerant and does not require mowing. In fall of 2018, minor bulbs were planted to provide early spring color. These bulbs are great spreaders, and should increase as years go by. RG&C plans to add vinca each spring until the area fills in completely.
